Palm Springs, CA: Oswit Land Trust (OLT) and Mesquite Country Club (MCC) are pleased to share with the community that after 2 years of litigation regarding the former golf course, now known as Prescott Preserve, we have reached an agreement in principle, and the lawsuits between the parties are soon to be in the past.
OLT and MCC are grateful for the work done by Mediator David Chapman who for 8 hours listened to the arguments and concerns of both sides, and was able to help the parties reach an agreement benefiting MCC, OLT, and most importantly the entire community of Palm Springs. Both MCC and OLT are looking forward to putting their disputes behind them and working to create a spectacular nature preserve in the heart of our community that everyone will enjoy now and in the future.
Specific details of this resolution are not yet available for the public as the mediation documents are currently being drafted. Therefore, no further comments will be provided by OLT or MCC.
